The Single-Stack division is for 1911 shooters. There are many restrictions to the type of allowed modifications and holsters. Ammo capacity is 8 rounds for major, and 10 rds for minor power factor. Power factor affects scoring and requires knowing the bullet weight and velocity, but typically "Major" power factor is 45ACP or "hot" 40 S&W. 95% of Single-Stack shooters declare "Major" power factor and shoot 45ACP in a traditional (though highly tuned) 1911.
