Springfield Armory is known for their production of US Military weapons in the first half of the 20th century. They produced millions of M1A's and M14's carried by troops from WWII through Viet Nam. As of May 2015, 195,000 permits to carry a pistol have been issued in the state of Minnesota. Of those Minnesota carry permits, over 64,000 of them have been issued in the immediate Twin Cities metro area.
