In our opinion, they currently produce some of the best 1911 handguns you can buy for under $1000. Their XD/XDM line of polymer striker-fired pistols represents a great buy with one of the best "out of the box" triggers on the market.

The equipment required to participate in USPSA is fairly basic. First and foremost, common sense and the rule book require eye and ear protection be worn at all times. Next is a serviceable and safe handgun chambered in a caliber between .38 and .45.
